Twin engine airliners such as A321Neo have improved aerodynamics and engine performances that outperform all wide-body aircraft
'With 20% costs and fuel savings, these short and medium range aircraft have now a range of 5.000 nM with trans-ocean and transcontinental capabilities. Their cabins were not designed for such ranges. Lseat improves their economy class with sleep comfort. Lseat is the right product at the right moment. More than 7'600 A320 units at AIRBUS and 4'600 B737 at BOEING are ordered or will be delivered within the next five years.
Wide-body aircraft for 300+ passengers will be replaced with large or medium size twins up to 300 passengers (e.g. A321Neo). As a consequence, medium range aircraft for 150 to 180 passengers will operate on transoceanic and transcontinental routes.
Almost all airlines with those aircraft in their fleet have decided not to operate after the Covid 19 crisis. So did AIR FRANCE, KLM, BRITISH AIRWAYS, LUFTHANSA, QUANTAS, SINGAPORE AIRLINES and many more. These wide-body aircraft will be replaced with medium and large twins up to 300 passengers (e.g. A321Neo).
As a consequence, wide bodies like A380 can equally use Lseat and sleep mode in Economy class to attract passengers again, and beat the competition of smaller aircraft (better service, higher profitability).
With the progress in smaller twin engine medium size airliner such as A321Neo, direct flights from city to city separated by long distance will become more profitable. Importance of flight hubs will be reduced – Decreasing time and cost for both the customer and the airline.
